Chris Laursen is an Australian with a passion for helping those on the front line of efforts to conserve wildlife by equipping them with life saving, emergency medical skills. He has developed his medic and training career over decades working firstly at sea as an offshore diver medic and life support technician then as an instructor at a range of training colleges.

His first visit to Africa was transforming, and he now devotes much of his energy to raising awareness about the people in Africa and beyond who are fighting to protect endangered species. He continues to deliver remote area first aid and medic training in Australia as well as in Africa for Global Conservation Force.
