Justin Matti is the Chairman of the board for the Global Conservation Force (GCF). In this role, he helps support, maintain and facilitate all operations conducted by GCF. His background includes extensive experience as a freelance writer and editor, culminating in work as a manager for multiple peer reviewed journals under Elsevier, one of the world’s largest academic publishers. During his tenure there, Justin was able to garner insight and experience in editorial project management, working with authors, editors, students and Ph.D.’s, all within the academic world. In early 2015, he decided to depart from Elsevier and accepted a position working within in the Defense Industry as a Program and Operations Analyst at NASSCO, a subsidiary shipbuilder of General Dynamics (GD). In this position, Justin works assists operations yard-wide, as well as trend analysis, utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM). Academically, Justin holds a degree from the University of San Diego, where he studied Political Science (encompassing international politics) and English. In his free time remains an avid reader, soccer player and cook.
