Saving Endangered Turtles and Pangolins In Asia With Dogs

Pangolins are the most trafficked mammal in the world with more than a million poached in the last decade. But we are breaking new barriers using K9s to find hard to find endangered species in challenging habitats.

Clive, a 1.5-year-old black English Labrador, is part of the Global Conservation Force K9 Unit, trained by Wesley Visscher of @ScentImprintConservationDogs. Clive has been trained to detect live pangolins and endangered turtles as well as pangolin scales hidden in illegal shipments.

Last month, Caeser, of @CreativeConservationAlliance , has been going through the handler hand over training with Clive. We are excited to share that Clive is finally leaving for his field deployment to Bangladesh.
