We are excited to announce that we have sponsored a full years’ salary for one of the Sumatran Ranger Project’s anti poaching rangers. The rangers are community hired rangers working in the Leuser ecosystem, home to the last shared habitat of rhino, tiger, elephant, pangolin, orangutan, and bears.
Funding was made possible by the funds raised during the Rhino Conservation Challenge.
We supported the Sumatran Ranger Project over the years with sponsored training, patrol equipment, camera traps, education outreach materials, and cell phones for patrol.
Due to the travel restrictions and budget cut backs for 2021 we are not going to be able to provide any other assistance this year, but we hope to come back in 2022 with our full compliment of project support.
