Sponsored Rhino Procedure with Exciting New Tech!

Yesterday, our team was busy adding a new tracking collar to Thembi the rhino, daughter of poaching survivor Thandi.
The costs of the veterinary procedure, helicopter, and new tracking were sponsored by Global Conservation Force’s #SaveTheHorns campaign in partnership with Brave Wilderness and Kariega Game Reserve . The veterinary procedure was led by our good friend and conservation partner Dr William Fowlds with our friends Kariega Foundation and several special guests.
The GCF anti-poaching unit and the GCF anti-poaching recruits got to be involved and learn all about the whole process. For almost all of them, this was the first time they’ve ever been up close with, or touched, a living rhino.
