Two Rhino Horns Confiscated

Members of the SAPS from Piet Retief made a major breakthrough after arresting a man in possession of two rhino horns on Thursday, 09 March 2023 around 09:00. The 27-year-old, Ntsako Prince Letswele’s arrest came as a result of members of the public who brought information about his alleged dodgy dealings to the police.

According to the information, there was a white Nissan Qashqai, traveling on the R534 (Wakkerstroom Road) and it was being driven by a certain man. Further details outlined that the vehicle was having a Gauteng registration number plate and that the car was transporting some rhino horns.

The information was then followed by the members and the vehicle was spotted as it approached Piet Retief CBD where it was brought to a halt. A search was then conducted and upon searching the vehicle, members discovered the two rhino horns hidden inside the bonnet of the car but wrapped with some black plastics.
