We would like to send a huge ‘Thank you!’ to all of you who came out to support our World Pangolin Day events around the US and Canada. As part of our goal we were raising funds for our pangolin conservation partners Save Vietnam’s Wildlife and our individual projects.
We are thrilled to announce that we were able to donate $2,000, of the $3,000 raised for WPD, towards the Save Vietnams Wildlife “Save 500 Pangolins” campaign!
But that’s not all! We have other pangolin saving plans in the works! Just incase you missed it, we sponsored, and we are participating in, a wildlife education course for 200 young students in Vietnam ($2700). The goal of course is aimed at wildlife demand reduction and conservation education expansion. This will be in partnership with “WildHand”, Wildhand is an organization founded and affiliated with Veterinary Department in Vietnam National University of Agriculture.
We also just purchased Denali, a trained Belgian Malinois, the newest addition to our team, who will be working to help detect and protect many species, including pangolins, in the Greater Kruger Park region of South Africa.
The grand total is just shy of $12,000 in funds aiding in pangolin conservation efforts! We couldn’t have done this without the support our core team members, our project partners, donors, collaborations, and volunteers, Thank you all!
