From January 17–24, 2027, Global Conservation Force invites you to join us for an unforgettable journey through Belize—one that blends adventure, conservation, culture, wildlife, and meaningful impact. This 8-day, 7-night expedition will take participants from the crystal-clear waters of Ambergris Caye to the ancient Maya cities, caves, forests, and wildlife habitats of mainland Belize. More than a vacation, this is an opportunity to experience one of the world’s most biodiverse countries while directly supporting conservation organizations and wildlife professionals working every day to protect its natural heritage. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast, photographer, conservation supporter, traveler, or someone looking for an experience with purpose, this expedition offers a rare chance to connect with conservation in a hands-on and meaningful way.

At the heart of this journey is our partnership with ACES Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, one of Belize’s leading wildlife rescue organizations. Throughout the week, participants will gain a behind-the-scenes look at the realities of wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, veterinary care, and release efforts for native Belizean species. Global Conservation Force’s mission extends far beyond simply visiting conservation projects. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of our partners through training opportunities, equipment support, and long-term collaboration. Funds generated through this expedition help support these conservation initiatives, and we strongly encourage participants to fundraise before departure to increase their impact even further. Whether it’s helping purchase veterinary supplies, transport crates, field equipment, rescue gear, educational materials, or supporting future conservation training opportunities, every additional dollar raised helps expand what our partners can accomplish long after our group has returned home.

The adventure begins on the Caribbean island of Ambergris Caye, where participants will settle into one of Belize’s most iconic destinations. After arrival and orientation, the group will spend time with wildlife rehabilitation professionals learning about the conservation challenges facing Belize’s wildlife and the efforts underway to address them. There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the island itself, from exploring the local community and waterfront to relaxing on the beach and experiencing Belize’s unique blend of Caribbean and Central American culture. The following day, guests will board a catamaran and head out onto the world-famous Belize Barrier Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system on Earth. Participants will snorkel among vibrant coral formations, tropical fish, sea turtles, rays, and nurse sharks while learning about marine conservation efforts throughout the region. The day continues with a visit to Caye Caulker, where guests can explore the island, watch bonefish cruise the shallows, and experience the incredible turquoise waters that have made Belize a world-renowned marine destination.

The second half of the expedition shifts to mainland Belize, where conservation, wildlife, and adventure take center stage. Participants will stay at the Belize Zoo Tropical Education Center and Research Station, enjoying a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes at one of the most respected wildlife education and conservation facilities in Central America. Guests will meet rescued native wildlife, learn about rehabilitation and conservation programs, and participate in a guided night tour to observe Belize’s nocturnal species in action. From there, the adventure continues into the forests and mountains of western Belize. Depending on the group’s preferred level of adventure, participants will explore either the legendary Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave or the stunning Barton Creek Cave system. Both experiences provide extraordinary insight into Belize’s geological and cultural history while offering unforgettable opportunities for exploration. The journey also includes visits to both Xunantunich and Caracol, two of the most significant Maya archaeological sites in Belize. Standing atop ancient temples surrounded by rainforest, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the relationship between cultural heritage, environmental stewardship, and the protection of landscapes that have supported people and wildlife for thousands of years.

The expedition concludes with time spent exploring the breathtaking Mountain Pine Ridge region, enjoying nature walks through a dramatically different ecosystem, and experiencing local markets and cultural traditions that showcase the diversity of Belizean life. Throughout the week, participants will encounter marine ecosystems, tropical forests, archaeological wonders, wildlife rehabilitation programs, conservation professionals, and local communities, creating an experience that is both educational and deeply rewarding. By joining this expedition, guests directly support wildlife conservation, rehabilitation efforts, environmental education, and Global Conservation Force’s ongoing mission to protect wildlife from extinction through education, conservation action, anti-poaching initiatives, and international partnerships. Combined with optional participant fundraising efforts before departure, this ecotour has the potential to generate meaningful support for our conservation partners while delivering what promises to be one of the most exciting and impactful adventures GCF has ever offered. Belize is waiting, and this is going to be an epic adventure.
