This original Temminck’s pangolin artwork was created by Brierley McCubbins, Global Conservation Force Field Journalist and artist, in honor of World Pangolin Day, February 21st 2026,, a global day of awareness dedicated to the most trafficked mammal on Earth.
World Pangolin Day is observed annually to shine a light on the urgent threats facing pangolins, including poaching and illegal wildlife trafficking driven by demand for their scales and meat. All eight species of pangolins are threatened with extinction, and without direct, on-the-ground action, their survival is at serious risk.
This one-of-a-kind piece, hand wood-burned, etched, and painted, was created to help turn awareness into action.
