World Pangolin Day | Art Piece Silent Auction

February 21

One-of-a-Kind Pangolin Art | World Pangolin Day Conservation K9 Fundraiser

This original Temminck’s pangolin artwork was created by Brierley McCubbins, Global Conservation Force Field Journalist and artist, in honor of World Pangolin Day, February 21st 2026,, a global day of awareness dedicated to the most trafficked mammal on Earth.

World Pangolin Day is observed annually to shine a light on the urgent threats facing pangolins, including poaching and illegal wildlife trafficking driven by demand for their scales and meat. All eight species of pangolins are threatened with extinction, and without direct, on-the-ground action, their survival is at serious risk.

This one-of-a-kind piece, hand wood-burned, etched, and painted, was created to help turn awareness into action.

  • Conservation K9 Units trained to detect pangolin scales and wildlife products, track poachers, and support anti-poaching patrols

  • Anti-poaching and ranger training in critical pangolin habitats

  • Counter wildlife trafficking operations targeting transit routes and trafficking networks

  • Youth and community education programs to reduce demand and build local conservation leadership

  • Field research and frontline presence to inform protection strategies and long-term survival

Conservation K9s are one of the most effective tools in the fight for pangolins—able to detect illegal wildlife products, cover vast terrain, and act as a force multiplier for ranger teams protecting vulnerable species.
