Join the Fight Against Wildlife Poaching: Snare Patrol Training with Global Conservation Force

Introduction to Snare's and Snare Patrols Course

  • Dates: February 21–27, 2025 | May 27–31, 2025

  • Instructors: Geoffrey Phipps, Dylan W. (February), Mike Veale (May)

Snares are among the deadliest threats to wildlife across the globe, silently and indiscriminately capturing and killing animals. These simple yet devastating traps take a heavy toll on wildlife populations, and their removal requires constant effort and vigilance. That’s why Global Conservation Force (GCF) is stepping up the fight against this silent killer, and you can join us.

We’re thrilled to announce our Introduction to Snares and Snare Patrols Professional Development Course, an immersive and impactful experience designed to train individuals in the field of conservation. Participants will patrol active conservation zones, gain hands-on training, and make a tangible impact by helping to protect wildlife.

What’s Involved

This program is a perfect opportunity for adventurous individuals eager to contribute directly to wildlife conservation. Over 7–10 days, you’ll work alongside trained rangers and conservationists to locate, document, and remove snares from critical areas both inside and outside of wildlife reserves.

This isn’t a leisurely vacation or luxury photo safari—it’s a meaningful, active, and rewarding experience designed for those with a passion for protecting wildlife and a willingness to get their hands dirty. You’ll also explore a wide variety of habitats and landscapes, visit local tourist sites, and learn from experienced conservationists about the realities of anti-poaching efforts.
