2021 Mounted Anti Poaching Unit Operations Expansion

We are pleased to share that our core mounted anti poaching unit is expanding its range of details and coverage.

GCF mounted anti-poaching unit rangers are currently cross training on two new reserves, that host a full assortment of wildlife from otters to rhinos. This is part of our new multi-reserve coverage plan. To launch the new operations the team is renovating a space to house our new mounted unit horses, riders, and a GCF K9.

This has them quite busy, but not too busy to expand their operational reach and duties to cover snare sweeps outside of reserve boundaries.

Stay tuned for more updates on the unit as they finish the current project and move onto the multi reserve K9 and horse back patrol duties.
