April Impact Recap – 63 Rangers Trained Across the Eastern Cape

April was a month of serious impact for Global Conservation Force and our partner reserves in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. With the support of our incredible donors, we successfully completed a sponsored Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) training tour, reaching 63 rangers across Kariega, Lalibela, Bucklands, Shamwari, and Amakhala.

Led by GCF Lead Field Medic Instructor Chris Laursen, each course featured hands-on instruction, tactical training scenarios, and realistic injury simulations, designed to prepare rangers for the high-risk, real-world emergencies they face daily—not just for themselves, but also for guests and staff on the reserves.

As part of our commitment to comprehensive preparedness, we also provided sponsored medical kits to each anti-poaching unit. These vital supplies now remain in the field with the teams protecting some of Africa’s most iconic and threatened wildlife—rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and many more.

Additionally, we expanded our scope this April by providing water rescue and swim training to the GCF x Kariega Anti-Poaching Unit, enhancing their safety and operational capability in water-based environments—an essential skill set in their reserve’s riverine terrain.

These rangers are on the frontlines daily, protecting rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and many other vulnerable species—your support helps ensure they are trained, equipped, and prepared.

A huge thank-you to ALL of our donors and supporters who made this possible. Whether you contributed to training costs, medical gear, or ongoing support—you’ve made a direct impact on conservation and ranger safety.

Together, we are holding the frontline.
